Lecturer, WGSS

Andrew received his BA from Yale College in 2008 with distinction in Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies and African American Studies. His current research seeks to better understand how representations of queer Afro-Caribbean diasporic subjectivities in film and literature reflect and inform the experiences of sexual minorities in the region and its diaspora. His other interests include the physical and cultural geographies that mediate racialized ‘queer’ encounters and the political economy of representations of homophobia in the Global South and its diasporas.
