Continents in Conversation is a literary festival and complement to AFRICA SALON 2016, organized by AFRICA SALON Literary Content Curator Sarah Derbew ‘18. The half-day event features three intimate, interactive sessions with American playwright Kia Corthron, Sierra Leonean and Scottish novelist Aminatta Forna, Malawian poet Jack Mapanje, Ethiopian-American novelist and screenwriter Maaza Mengiste, Nigerian novelist and editor Okey Ndibe, Nigerian novelist Chigozie Obioma, South African journalist, film director, and novelist Margie Orford, Nigerian-Belgian novelist Chika Unigwe, and Rwandan storyteller Clemantine Wamariya ’14.
