Dr. Henri Myrttinen is currently a research fellow with the Gender Centre of the Geneva Graduate Institute, Switzerland, and has been working on issues of gender, peace and security for the past 15 years, both academically and for NGOs. He has focused especially on masculinities and diverse sexual orientations and gender identities in conflict-affected situations. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, 
South Africa.
