Daniel Swain

Based in the English Literature and WGSS Departments, I work on gender, race and sexuality in 20th/21st century poetry and poetics. In particular, I am interested in the curation and distribution of cultural capital in post-war lyric poetry and visual art, and its relationship to the social forms of contemporary neoliberalism and the consolidation of the queer bourgeoisie. I also maintain a creative writing practice as a published poet and critic.
