Lauren Ruth

Lauren graduated from Tulane University in 2008 with a B.S. summa cum laude in Psychology and a B.A. magna cum laude in Philosophy. Her Ph.D. studies at Yale combine these two fields with women’s and gender studies. She is currently researching essentialist beliefs about gendered personality. More broadly, Lauren is interested in people’s beliefs about gender as well as how gender and close relationships shape personal identity. She works with Dr. Jaime Napier and Dr. Margaret Clark in the Department of Psychology.
